HyQ²Ra - Hydrogen Quality and Quantity by Raman

It is ready to use for the analysis of natural gas and hydrogen – or can be flexibly adapted to your specific gas mixture.

Research and demonstration of a Raman sensor for metrological monitoring of gas quality and mass flow in hydrogen-powered fuel cell systems; subproject: research of a gas analysis sensor and a mass flow sensor based on Raman spectroscopy.

The publicly funded joint project “Research and demonstration of a Raman sensor for metrological monitoring of gas quality and mass flow for hydrogen-fueled fuel cell systems” aims to develop sensor technology for analyzing and monitoring hydrogen in fuel cells.

As part of this project, a subproject focuses specifically on researching a gas analysis sensor and a mass flow sensor based on Raman spectroscopy. This technology, previously known for analyzing solids and liquids, enables precise and reliable measurement of gas quality and mass flow, thereby significantly improving the efficiency and safety of fuel cell and refueling systems.
